Arnotts Sparkle - The Bathroom

I think everyone loves being able to enjoy a freshly cleaned bathroom.  Here are a few tips to make a sparkling bathroom easily!

First things first, if you have a Clogged Toilet:

  • If water is flowing out, TURN OFF THE WATER! The shut off valve is located behind the toilet.
  • Use a plunger - up and down hard several times. Keep plunging until the water goes down the hole.
  • Flush and be ready to plunge again.
  • Immediately clean up any water that leaked onto the floor.
-REMINDER- Do not flush tampon applicators! It's one of those things that will clog a toilet and you will be charged for the repair- no fun.

- For an affordable cleaner that is probably on hand, mix 1/3 cup vinegar and 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol.

- Scrub off soap scum with a wet washcloth and baking soda.

- For stains on your bathroom counters, use baking soda and scrub with a wet washcloth.

- For dirty shower curtains, soak the curtain in the tub with vinegar or bleach.  Then scrub down with a hard brush or even a washcloth.

- Clean the mirrors and windows with newspaper instead of towels. The newspaper will not streak the window cleaner and will not leave tiny frustrating lint pieces.
